Breeders’ Cup Classic Has The Most Prize Money and Purse
The Breeders’ Cup Classic, which will feature the Epsom Derby winner – City Of Troy, is the standout race in terms of prize money.
City Of Troy will also be trying to give trainer Aidan O’Brien his first Breeders’ Cup Classic win, but being the favourite with the best horse racing betting sites in the UK many think he can win.
This race has a $7m purse, which equates to £2,866,142 for the winner – which is up from £2,600,000 in 2023 when White Abarrio won.
While the last European horse to win the Breeders’ Cup Classic was Raven’s Pass in 2008 – when the John Gosden-trained 3 year-old won £1,356,784.
