The UK Golf Federation is to host a series of one-day GolfBIC Roadshow events across the UK this spring.
From Scotland to London, the roadshows will be held at four venues, each offering a one-day GolfBIC Sustainability Golf Conference supported by the R&A Sustainability Team and the GEO Foundation.
The focus is to explore ways in which we can collectively invest in golf’s future by adopting sustainable operations. With sustainability becoming an indispensable aspect of various industries, it is essential that we, as golf industry leaders, prioritise environmental conservation and seek innovative ways to minimise our carbon footprint.
The roadshows, which costs £75+VAT to attend, will focus on promoting sustainable golf courses in the future and working towards operating a nett carbon-zero environment whilst creating awareness about sustainable practices within the golfing industry and to showcase the steps that golf courses can take to minimise their carbon footprint.
Presentations from leading bodies within the sustainability field will look into various subjects including sustainable turf management, renewable energy integration, waste management, water conservation, and more.
Additionally, exhibitors from sustainable golf equipment manufacturers, environmental organisations, and golf course management companies will be present to showcase innovative products and services.
Whether you are involved in golf course management, a golf course owner or simply passionate about the game, these events will be a great opportunity to gain insights, connect with like-minded individuals, and contribute to a greener future for the sport.
Priced at £75pp+VAT, each roadshow will include bacon rolls and coffee on arrival, a buffet lunch, plus tea and coffee.
