FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — The Fresno Pro-Am entered its third week, and it seemed everywhere you turned, there was a local hoops star, past or present, getting some shots up.
This week, it was a duo of old Bulldogs.
Deshon Taylor and Isaiah Hill are etched in the record books for Fresno State men’s basketball, and they shared the court together at the Pro-Am, facing former Immanuel and FPU star Darrin Person Jr.
Taylor just wrapped up his first season in Turkey and he’s looking for new options in Europe while home in Fresno.
“Trying to figure out what’s next for me,” Taylor said. “Got a couple of countries I’m looking at — Israel, France and Germany. Just trying to see where the contract is right.”
Hill will follow Taylor’s lead and take his talents overseas.
This week, Hill signed a contract with the Caledonia Gladiators of Scotland. They play in the top tier of basketball in the United Kingdom.
“You gotta be prepared — that’s what summer is about,” Hill said. “Working for that and knowing you’re going against grown men that gotta feed their family. So, just having that in the back of your mind.
“It’s gonna be different. I’m nervous. I’m excited. It’s gonna be hard. It’s not gonna be easy, but I’m gonna adjust, adapt and I’m gonna get through it.”
