England Vs Spain Betting Tips: The Panel's Best Bets & Euro 2024 Predictions

Is football finally coming home? We’ll know the answer to that question on Sunday night.

Gareth Southgate has guided England to their first final at a major tournament on foreign soil and will be hoping his side can get their hands on the Henri Delaunay trophy for the first time.

Standing in their way are Spain, who are looking to win the trophy for a record fourth time.

Luis de la Fuente’s side are the favourites on the best betting sites to be crowned European champions in Berlin.

Both sides had to come from behind in their semi-finals to book their place in the decider, after conceding a goal in the first 10 minutes.

Randal Kolo Muani’s ninth-minute goal gave France a surprise lead against the Spanish, but a wonderful strike from teenage sensation Lamine Yamal and a deflected goal from Dani Olmo secured Spain’s passage to the final.

England fell behind to Xavi Simons’ seventh-minute effort, but a penalty from Harry Kane restored parity. Substitute Ollie Watkins won the semi-final with his late goal

Spain go into the final as 6/4 favourites on football betting sites to win in 90 minutes, but England’s resilience so far this tournament makes them good value at 5/2.

The Panel have studied the form throughout Euro 2024 to bring you three England vs Spain predictions for Sunday’s final in Berlin.

Spain Vs England Prediction: Ruiz To Trouble Pickford

Spain have been so impressive at Euro 2024, that the team of the tournament will no doubt be dominated by Spaniards.

Fabian Ruiz could well find himself in that XI after a very impressive month in Germany.

Regarded as a holding midfielder, the Paris St-Germain man has played his part in helping his country get to the final, scoring twice.

Spain play in a way that allows Ruiz to advance into attacking positions, and like many of his team-mates, he’s not afraid to have a pop at goal.

Ruiz is 12/1 on betting apps to be an anytime scorer and make it to three goals in the tournament.

The Panel have traced his performances throughout the tournament and are backing him to add to the five shots on target he already has in Euro 2024.

Spain Vs England Prediction: Another England Fightback

If England go on to win Euro 2024, they will have done it the hard way. After topping their group with five points, Southgate’s side have not set the tournament alight as their final opponents have.

In all three knockout games, England have conceded the first goal, but shown tremendous powers of recovery to progress to the final.

Against Slovakia in their last-16 tie, an injury-time goal from Jude Bellingham forced extra-time, during which Harry Kane headed home the winner.

In their quarter-final against Switzerland, penalties were required after Bukayo Saka’s 80th-minute strike cancelled out Breel Embolo’s opener five minutes earlier.

So, when Simons scored to give the Netherlands an early lead in their semi-final, England remained calm and composed and drew level through Kane’s penalty.

With the game headed for extra-time, Watkins sent his nation through to the final with a wonderful strike to beat Dutch keeper Bart Verbruggen.

Southgate sets his side up to play for 120 minutes and his replacements have made vital contributions.

The Panel are confident that England will finish the final strongly, scoring the last goal for the fifth time in seven Euro 2024 games. But will it be the winner?

Spain Vs England Prediction: More Late Drama

Euro 2024 might not have been the action-packed tournament we all wished for, but there is no denying the late drama the tournament has served up.

So far, a total of 28 goals have been scored between the 76th minute and the end of normal time, and both sides have been involved in tense finales.

Spain conceded an 89th-minute equaliser in their late-16 tie with Germany, when Niclas Fullkrug forced extra-time.

For England, Bellingham, Saka and Watkins have all been heroes when scoring in the final 15 minutes of knockout matches.

The Panel wouldn’t be surprised if Sunday’s final at Berlin’s Olympiastadion produces another late goal for either Spain or England, which can be backed at 11/8 on new betting sites.
