There will also be competitive action for horses aged two at Glorious Goodwood on Wednesday. The Molecomb Stakes is run over five furlongs, and it is a Group Three contest. This race was won last year by subsequent Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Sprint victor Big Evs.

Aesterius sets the standard for the team of Archie Watson and James Doyle this week after winning impressively in listed company over five furlongs at Sandown earlier this month. But, he could be slightly too short in the betting for a competitive race such as this.

Therefore, a chance is taken on Francisco’s Piece for Adrian Keatley and Oisin Murphy. He was last seen finishing way back in the G2 Coventry Stakes. However, he was the winner of a listed race over five furlongs in France before that, and was also a very close second over five furlongs at York in May.
