We are only two weeks into the new Premier League season and discussions have already begun as to which manager might lose his job first.
For all that the likes of Fabian Hurzeler, Mikel Arteta, Pep Guardiola and Arne Slot have got off to excellent starts, other head coaches are sitting less comfortably.
The campaign is still new, but with the September international break just around the corner, this weekend’s results could make certain managers more vulnerable.
Who will be the first Premier League boss to be shown the door in 2024/25? Let’s see what the best betting sites make of it.
Premier League Sack Race Odds
Dyche The Favourite After Torrid Start
Everton have endured a terrible start to the 2024/25 campaign, losing 3-0 to Brighton & Hove Albion and 4-0 to Tottenham Hotspur.
Off the pitch, the takeover saga continues to drag on, limiting Everton’s capacity to strengthen their squad in the transfer market.
None of which helps Sean Dyche, the 4/1 favourite with football betting sites to be handed his P45 prior to any of his peers.
The former Burnley manager needs results to turn or he could soon find himself under pressure at Goodison Park, Everton’s home for just one more campaign.

Maresca Has Walked Into Turbulent Club
Enzo Maresca oversaw a 6-2 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday to quieten some of the noise at Chelsea.
But the sense of calm is unlikely to last. Stamford Bridge has been a turbulent place for a while now, with the Blues seemingly on a mission to stockpile as many players as possible.
The Todd Boehly regime is now onto its fourth permanent manager, with Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter and Mauricio Pochettino having all departed. Maresca is 6/1 to follow suit next.
Ten Hag Still Has Some Convincing To Do
Erik ten Hag is also a 6/1 shot with betting apps . To the surprise of many, the Manchester United man was given a new contract over the summer, despite his team’s eighth-place finish in the Premier League in 2023/24.
But the shake-up of Ten Hag’s backroom staff was almost an implicit criticism of the manager’s work.
Patience will start to wear thin if United find themselves too far down the table in the next few weeks.
A crunch clash with Liverpool this weekend is hugely important for Ten Hag, who has done well in that fixture up to now.

Cooper Has Inherited A Difficult Situation
Leicester City have a point to their name thanks to a 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur, but this could be a long, hard season for last season’s Championship champions.
A points deduction is looming, and the squad does not look any stronger than it was at the end of last season.
Cooper kept Nottingham Forest up after promotion and his counter-attacking approach is a good fit for Leicester.
Still, it is no surprise to see him at 6/1 in this market with new betting sites.
Nuno Needs Good Start To Continue
Nuno Espirito Santo fulfilled his remit by keeping Nottingham Forest in the Premier League last term, but it was not a hugely convincing body of work from the Portuguese.
Forest have started this season well, though, collecting four points from the first six available – easing any fears of Premier League relegation for now.
Forest’s owner is famously volatile, so who knows what could happen at the City Ground over the coming weeks and months.
But Nuno, priced at 8/1, is an accomplished coach at this level and he will back himself to do a decent job this season.

Martin Could Soon Become Vulnerable
Russell Martin stuck to his principles throughout last season and was rewarded when Southampton won the play-offs.
But if the Saints continue in their current vein, he will be under pressure to change his ways.
Southampton lost 1-0 to Newcastle United on the opening weekend despite having a numerical advantage for most of the match, while they barely laid a glove on Nottingham Forest last time out.
Martin’s odds will drop from 10/1 with BetVictor unless things improve.

Two Possible Ways Out For Howe
There are two reasons why Eddie Howe, available at 12/1, could leave Newcastle United.
One is if the Magpies start to drift behind the top four, which is where they are aiming to finish this season.
The other, of course, is if the FA were to make an approach for Howe.
The England manager job would be tough to turn down, so do not rule out Howe jumping ship first.
