It’s a phrase us reality TV stans know well – blaming things on the edit is a reality TV star’s bread and butter, and Love Is Blind UK’s Sam (Sam from London) is the latest reality personality to justify his behaviour on the show because of the series’ edit.
The series’ resident villain took to his Instagram Stories over the weekend where he answered a number of fan questions about the series.
One fan asked if he really had feelings for Nicole, to which he answered: “The show was intense and high-pressure, and the editing hasn’t really worked in my favour. But my connection with Nicole in the pods was genuine and she’s an amazing person.”
And it seems Sam is all up for portraying the role of this season’s villain, as he responded to another follower’s comment who said they wanted to dislike Sam, but couldn’t, by saying: “I guess someone has to play the villain.”
He was also asked if he was annoyed by how the “show perceived you as not genuine,” to which he responded: “I guess it was TV gold. 🍿🍿🍿x100.”
In case you’re wondering how Sam earned this coveted title, then here’s your quick little recap on what has gone down this season so far.
When Sam first entered the pods he made connections with both Jasmine and Nicole. However, after telling Jasmine a number of generic lines, Jasmine began to doubt the validity of his feelings and broke things off with him. He didn’t react *well* to the rejection and began to wonder if he’d ever make a connection.
He did appear to with Nicole and the pair got on so well they ended up getting engaged. And after Sam proposed, he told Nicole “I think I love you”, ahh just what every girl wants to hear after her engagement.
He then did it again during the reveal, and it appears his thoughts of love just weren’t enough (shocker) as both Nicole and Sam agreed to call off their engagement before they even made into on the plane to Greece.
Well it can’t always be a happy ending right?
