The great thing about Spreadex is that offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences, of course, between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets.

Make the right call and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:

Andrew heads to Cheltenham and Chelmsford’s evening all-weather action for his three recommended bets/trades on Saturday, October 26th…

CHELTENHAM 1.10

Nigel Twiston-Davies was in fine form at Cheltenham yesterday, sending out two winners (10-1 and 6-5f), two close seconds  (beaten by a neck and three-quarters of a length) and a five-length fifth from his five runners. He has three more today including GUARD YOUR DREAMS in the opener, a 2m4f novices’ limited handicap chase. The eight-year-old son of Fame And Glory made a winning chase debut at Warwick at the start of the month and had good form over hurdles on Cheltenham’s Old Course (in use today), finishing seventh of 26 in the 2021 Coral Cup before landing a 2m4f handicap at this meeting in 2021. Buy at 15 in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or take a fixed odds price (6-1 at the time of writing).

Recommendation: Back GUARD YOUR DREAMS in Cheltenham 1.10

CHELTENHAM 4.05

Early pace was the key ingredient to success on Cheltenham’s Old Course yesterday with the winners described by the Racing Post as “made all”, “pressed leader”, “prominent, led narrowly after 2f out”, “made all”, “pressed leaders, led after 2nd”, “in touch with leaders” and “prominent”. Nicky Henderson’s HYLAND looks the likeliest front-runner in this 3m novices’ chase and could prove hard to pass. The seven-year-old won well at Southwell on his chase debut in June and his subsequent Uttoxeter defeat can be forgiven as it probably came too soon (just 19 days later). Both runs cane over trip of about 2m4f, but he improved for the step up to 3m when hurdling, landing the 3m handicap at this meeting last year and the longer distance can be ring about further improvement today. Buy at 18 in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price (4-1).

Recommendation: Back HYLAND in Cheltenham 4.05

CHELMSFORD 6.00

IT’S SHOWTIME is forecast to start as the 11-2 third favourite for this 5f handicap but Conrad Allen’s filly usually struggled on turning tracks and looks worth selling in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market. The three-year-old has a solid record on straight tracks – form figures of 13226 (1-5) – but has yet to win when racing left or right-handed, recording figures of 44305534363 (0-11). She ran respectably at left-handed Lingfield last time, finishing a 16-1 third of seven, but that in fillies-only company and she takes on male rivals this evening.

Recommendation: Oppose IT’S SHOWTIME in Chelmsford 6.00
