In-form Lucinda Russell has a seven from 50 record with chasers who were having their first run after a wind operation for a profit of £40.25 to a £1 level stake at SP. Those who were running in Class 4 or lower company were seven from 31 for a profit of £59.25. Point-to-point winner RATTLING ROAD showed promise over hurdles last term and can take a step forward now tackling regulation fences for the first time.

BATAL ZABEEL (system – James Tate stable switchers)
James Tate does well at the first time of asking with horses he takes over from other yards, scoring with seven of the 29 qualifiers since the beginning of 2014 for a profit of £44.50 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 3.81, A/E = 1.84). Twelve of the 22 beaten horses also made the frame and BATAL ZABEEL can make a winning start for his new handler after leaving Kevin Ryan’s care. The son of Territories will relish the deep ground.
