In his final press conference for Manchester United, Erik ten Hag revealed that Shaw’s return from injury has not gone according to plan.

“We know his past, we have to do this right, because we want him to be available, because he will have a big impact on our performances and also on our levels.
“We can’t have him playing for some games and then drop out again. So, we will do it very carefully.”
It has been over 250 days since Luke Shaw player for Manchester United, despite playing for England in the EURO 2024 semi-final and final.
His time at Old Trafford has been dampened by injury, suffering an awful leg injury back in 2015 and then continuing to deal with various knocks from then on.
When Will Luke Shaw Return From Injury?
During his Manchester United career, which spans from 2014-2024, Shaw has missed 287 games through injury and does not look to be returning any time soon.
Ruben Amorim is reportedly close to taking over as Manchester United manager and will be looking to implement his 3-4-3 style.
If the United defender cannot return to full fitness in the early stages of Amorim’s rein then he may find himself out-of-favour at Old Trafford.
His exact return date is yet to be confirmed, but he is not expected to play in any of United’s upcoming matches against Leicester and Chelsea.
