Liverpool are reportedly working on Plan B options if Trent Alexander-Arnold leaves the club at the end of the season.
The England star is currently weighing up his options over a contract extension with his current deal expiring at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
The Premier League leaders are rumoured to have put forward a five-year contract to the 26-year-old with Real Madrid prepared to make a free transfer offer.

A choice between remaining on Merseyside or a new challenge in Madrid is the breakdown of Alexander-Arnold’s choices as negotiations continue.
Despite Liverpool’s confidence over convincing Alexander-Arnold, and fellow contract expirees Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah over renewals, they are pragmatic over a possible exit.
As per reports from Spanish outlet Diario Sport, Liverpool are prepared to battle Barcelona for Ajax right-back Devyne Rensch next summer.
Devyne Rensch Ajax contract, transfer value
Rensch has grown in prominence in Ajax’s first team plans, after emerging through the Dutch giant’s famed academy set up, and he is now an established starter for Francesco Farioli’s team.
With versatility to play across the defence, Rensch would represent a cost-effective option for Liverpool, with his contract also expiring at the end of the season.
The Dutch international is not the only La Oranje target under consideration for Liverpool, with Bayer Leverkusen star Jeremie Frimpong also on their radar, but with a £42m ($52m) asking price.
A move for Rensch could be considered even if Alexander-Arnold stays as Arne Slot looks to build up his full-back options alongside Conor Bradley.
