The NFL has announced the teams designated to play in the 2025 NFL International Games in London.
The New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, and Jacksonville Jaguars will showcase American football in the U.K. during the 2025 regular season, continuing the league’s global expansion efforts.
Games Set for Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Wembley
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the only purpose-built NFL stadium outside the United States, will host games featuring the Jets and Browns. Meanwhile, the Jaguars will return to Wembley Stadium as part of their ongoing commitment to play annually in the U.K., marking their 14th game in the British capital.
Henry Hodgson, NFL U.K. and Ireland General Manager, expressed his enthusiasm:
“We look forward to welcoming the Jets, Browns, and Jaguars to London for the 2025 NFL International Games. This season will see us surpass 40 regular-season games in the capital, showcasing the U.K.’s vital role in the global growth of the sport. The London games continue to drive year-round fan engagement while fueling the growth of flag football, which now has over 100,000 young participants.”
Teams Embrace the Global Stage
For the Jets, the 2025 International Games present a unique opportunity to grow their brand.
“We are excited to bring the unique and entertaining atmosphere of a New York Jets home game to London,” said Jets President Hymie Elhai. “This opportunity allows us to deepen our connection with fans in the U.K., a relationship we’ve been cultivating for years. The success of the NFL’s international games highlights the sport’s expanding global reach, and we’re proud to be part of this growth.”
The Browns, making their first appearance at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, are equally thrilled.
“We’re honored to be named a designated team for the 2025 NFL London Games,” said David Jenkins, COO of Haslam Sports Group. “This will be our second international game and our first at this incredible venue. We’re eager to connect with our U.K. fans and contribute to the growing global popularity of the Browns and the NFL.”
The Jaguars, longtime ambassadors of the NFL in London, are looking forward to returning to Wembley.
“We’re delighted to be back in London for our 14th game in the capital,” said Jaguars Owner Shad Khan. “Wembley is our home away from home, and this game represents the pinnacle of our grassroots efforts in the U.K. Through programs like JagTag, we’ve introduced over 100,000 young people to flag football, helping grow the sport outside the U.S.”
Expanding the NFL’s Global Reach
Both the Jets and Jaguars hold marketing rights in the U.K. under the NFL’s Global Markets Program, an initiative that allows teams to expand their brand through international fan engagement, events, and commercial opportunities.
In addition to the London games, the NFL will also host regular-season matchups in Madrid, Spain, at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, and in Berlin, Germany, at the Olympic Stadium. These international games mark a new era for the NFL, which will be able to schedule up to eight league-operated games abroad per season starting in 2025.
The full schedule, including opponents and game times, will be released in the spring. To date, London has hosted 39 of the NFL’s 55 international regular-season games, cementing its status as a cornerstone of the league’s global ambitions.
