Accenture Song names Arun Kumar global head of data and AI

Arun Kumar has been named as Accenture Song’s as its new global head of data and AI. He will head up the creative group, as it looks to help clients benefit from the potential of new technology.

Assembled via a sustained acquisition campaign over the last decade, Accenture Song is the world’s largest creative group. Thanks to its heritage with IT-consultancy Accenture, it is also a leader in applying generative AI to responsibly create growth and relevance for businesses. 

Partnering with clients across many industries, the firm is now looking to leverage GenAI in creating new products and services; reinvent marketing and commerce by powering, creating, and scaling content and building intelligent sales and services. To help realise these ambitions, Accenture Song has appointed a new global data and AI leader to its executive team.

US-based Arun Kumar joins Accenture Song from a period of independent consulting. Earlier, he was the chief data and marketing technology officer at Interpublic Group, responsible for developing its data and technology solutions globally and growing its addressable media buying practice, as well as playing a pivotal role in IPG’s major acquisitions.

Looking ahead, Kumar will report to Baiju Shah, Accenture Song’s global chief strategy officer.
