London Lions beat Cluj-Napoca 91-79 to become the first British men’s team to reach the EuroCup semi-finals.
The Lions had already made history by reaching the quarter-finals and continued their progress with victory in Romania.
Sam Dekker top-scored for the visitors with 21 points, while David Nwaba contributed 13 points along with eight rebounds.
The Lions will play Paris Basketball or Joventut Badalona in the semi-finals.
The London side led 29-18 at the end of the first quarter, were 57-31 up at half-time and 74-60 in front after third quarter.
Cluj-Napoca went on a 10-0 run in the final quarter to reduce the deficit to 10 points but the closest they got to their rivals was eight points.
The win followed the London Lions Women becoming the first British basketball team to reach a European final by beating Umana Reyer Venice in the EuroCup at London’s Copper Box Arena.
