The Federal Government of Nigeria has issued a travel advisory for Nigerians travelling to the United Kingdom following racially motivated riots in parts of the kingdom.
The advisory was contained in a Statement by the Spokesperson of the Ministry Of Foreign Affairs in Abuja, Eche Abu-Obe.
The Ministry cautions Nigerians travelling to or who currently reside in the UK to be wary of sudden outbreak of violence and public demonstrations.
The Ministry called on Nigerians to avoid gatherings, processions and protests which were ignited following the stabbing to death of 3 young girls by a man at a Concert.
The Ministry also warned Nigerians to especially be on guard as events have shown that persons of colour and Muslim migrants are particularly prone to attacks by far right mobs.
It also urged Nigerians in terms of trouble to seek assistance from the Nigerian High Commission in the United Kingdom.
