Gary Neville has doubled down on his pre-season prediction, insisting that Arsenal will clinch the Premier League title this season — even though they currently trail Liverpool by nine points.
The Gunners sit third on the table after a mixed first half of the campaign, while Liverpool, under new manager Arne Slot, have taken the league by storm.
Liverpool’s rise has been fueled by Mohamed Salah, who leads in both goals and assists. The Merseyside club has won 14 of their 18 matches and looks set for a strong title push.
Yet, Neville believes Mikel Arteta’s side has what it takes to turn things around and claim their first league title in over two decades.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Neville explained why he remains confident in Arsenal. “Liverpool are massive favorites, and they’re in great form, but there’s still a long way to go,” he said.
Neville pointed out that Arsenal has endured tough seasons recently, coming close to glory but falling short. He feels this could be their breakthrough year.
“Sometimes winning the first time doesn’t happen in the most expected way,” he added, hinting at potential twists ahead.
Neville also highlighted the importance of Liverpool’s defensive rock, Virgil van Dijk. “If Van Dijk got injured, it would be a completely different story,” Neville said.
He believes the Reds’ title charge hinges on the Dutch defender staying fit.
