LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders is heading back to Europe as a part of a trade mission.
Sanders said she will make the case for investing in Arkansas to leading aerospace and defense industries at the United Kingdom’s Farnborough Air Show. She also plans on meeting with state business partners in Germany.
“Aerospace is Arkansas’ largest export industry and it’s getting larger every year,” Sanders said. “As we cut taxes, grow our workforce, and invest in education, we’re becoming an even more attractive state for investment. This trip will be crucial to getting that news out to some of the largest aerospace and defense companies in the world.”
Governor Sanders made her first overseas trade mission last summer, meeting with aerospace industry leaders at the Paris Air Show.
The Governor cites the mission’s success as the impetus for her impending mission.
“My trade mission to the Paris Air Show last year was a huge success, helping Arkansas land projects from international players like Dassault Falcon and RTX, bringing hundreds of millions of dollars in investment for our state,” Sanders said in a release.
The Farnborough Air Show is set to kick off next week, lasting from Jul. 22 to Jul. 26.
