The feature on the opening day for horses aged two comes in the form of the G2 Vintage Stakes. A wide-open contest is expected, with a field of seven runners competing over seven furlongs.

Aomori City represents the Godolphin team this week, and positives would have been taken from his third in the G2 July Stakes on just his second career effort. He is bred to be suited by this distance, but he could want even further over time.

Cool Hoof Luke will be the ride of in-form jockey Oisin Murphy, and a chance could be taken on the two-year-old to kick on following his fourth in the G2 Coventry Stakes. Distance is a slight unknown, but his running style will suit Goodwood.
