Forest Pines Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort is delighted to announce the appointment of Jamie McDonald as its new General Manager.
With extensive experience in the hospitality industry spanning over 35 years, McDonald is set to take the resort to new heights. With a passion for people, his key focus will be on training and developing teams, enhancing the already impressive guest experience, and establishing Forest Pines as a leading resort among leisure and corporate audiences across the country.
For the past 20 years, Jamie has held various general manager roles specialising in golfing properties. Most recently, he spent 18 months with The Telford Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort where he made significant contributions to the team and the property.
Forest Pines Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort and The Telford Hotel are both proudly part of The QHotels Collection, a collection of unique hotels and resorts located across the UK. While McDonald was recognised for his visionary management and successful efficiencies at The Telford, The QHotels Collection’s CEO, Richard Moore has praised Jamie and personally asked and encouraged him to make his mark at Forest Pines.
Known as the ‘people person’ amongst colleagues and responsible for growing developing and motivating teams, McDonald has also been involved with higher-level HR projects across The QHotels Collection, developing a ‘future leaders’ programme.
Jamie aims to elevate Forest Pines to a prominent position on the map. While the resort thrives locally, there is a huge opportunity to enhance its national profile, in particular targeting markets such as Sheffield, Leeds, and the North East.
