Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes

The 20th Century Studios’ actioner Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes remained the top-selling home entertainment release in the United Kingdom for the week ended July 31.
The movie, the fourth installment in the rebooted “Planet of the Apes” theatrical franchise, again held off Paramount Home Entertainment’s child-friendly IF, followed by the top 10 return of Universal Pictures Home Entertainment’s The Fall Guy at No. 3.
The 1996 original Twister remained at No. 4, with the studio’s new release The Bikeriders entering the chart at No. 5, based on digital sales only.
Last week’s No. 5, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment’s Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, dropped one spot, followed by Universal’s Abigail in seventh, up three spots from the previous week.
Returning charters included Civil War (Lionsgate) and Warner’s Dune: Part Two rounding out the top 10 at No. 9 and No. 10, respectively, while Warner’s Meg 2 — The Trench shot up 39 spots to No. 8.
