LanciaConsult has welcomed Siraj Alimohamed to its London office. Taking on the role of head of data and AI, he is working to help businesses get the most from the nascent technology.
Initially launched in Singapore in 2012, LanciaConsult has grown its footprint and reputation through delivering complex projects to global clients. Having since branched out to offices in Europe as well, the firm supports clients in the definition and delivery of complex business and technology transformations.
Siraj Alimohamed has joined the firm as a senior director heading up data and AI in Europe. Working alongside Melissa-Anne Boschmans in the APAC region, he is leveraging 20 years of experience to boost the firm’s expertise in data strategy, technology solutions, and customer engagement.
Most recently, he led the global data and AI practice at Experion Technologies. Prior to that, he helped establish and lead the BI and analytics practice at Slalom London, having earlier begun his career as a consultant with Thorogood, helping customers with their data challenges.
Speaking on his early career, Alimohamed said via LanciaConsult’s website, “I realised I enjoyed working directly with clients – trying to get to the bottom of their business challenges and using data and analytics to help unlock and empower their teams. My technical background often enabled me to develop creative ideas and work with technical teams to build innovative solutions. Before I realised it, I was doing this across different industry sectors and have been fortunate to work with many big names worldwide – from Coca-Cola to Disney!”
Looking ahead, Alimohamed will focus on establishing a data and AI practice, using the latest technologies to address LanciaConsult clients’ complex data challenges. This will include building a team, which is technically proficient and which understands the industry domains to help clients harness the full potential of their data assets.
Speaking on his first weeks with the firm, he added, “I have enjoyed getting to know more about our people, their backgrounds, and the projects they have been working on. I’m also working with one of our clients to build a data migration framework and help address challenges with customer data quality.”
