Vincent Kompany’s shock move to Bayern Munich on a three-year deal has left a vacancy to fill and attention is already turning towards who could replace him at Turf Moor.
The best betting sites have studied which managers might fancy the challenge of returning the Clarets back to the Premier League following their relegation.
Kompany guided Burnley to the Premier League with a division-record 101 points ahead of schedule, but they struggled in the top flight this season, winning just five of their 38 matches.
However, the German giants decided that the former Manchester City skipper is the man to lead them back to former glories after they failed to land a trophy for the first time in 12 years.
Burnley must now choose a successor as they aim to secure an immediate return to the Premier League next season.
Let’s take a look at the market offered by betting apps for Burnley’s next manager.
Parker Poised To Answer Burnley Call
Scott Parker is a manager looking to get back into management after a difficult couple of years and is the 9/4 favourite with BetVictor to land the job.
Parker was dismissed by Bournemouth days after the Cherries suffered a 9-0 defeat to Liverpool in August 2022, but he was back in a job when Club Brugge called him four months later.
The Belgian side had reached the Round of 16 in the Champions League, but Parker was sacked after winning just two of his 12 games in charge at the Jay Breydel Stadium.
Parker has a promotion to the Premier League on his CV which might lead to Burnley giving him a call.

Bellamy Cut For Clarets Role
Craig Bellamy’s odds have been cut dramatically from 16/1 to 5/2 since Wednesday amid speculation he is the man to fill the vacancy at Turf Moor.
The former Newcastle, Liverpool and West Ham striker was the assistant to Kompany at both Anderlecht and Burnley, but perhaps tellingly did not follow his ex-Manchester City team-mate to Germany.
That has led to rumours Bellamy is the frontrunner to replace Kompany and he is increasingly looking likely to land his first managerial role.
Lampard Also In The Mix
Frank Lampard sat out the entire season following his departure from Chelsea at the end of the 2022/23 campaign.
His batteries will have been recharged and it might just be a matter of time before the former England midfielder returns to management.
Could that be with Burnley? Lampard managed Derby County in the second tier for the 2018/19 season, leading them to the play-off final, where they lost to Aston Villa.
Lampard is 4/1 third favourite to return to management with Burnley.

Van The Man For Clarets?
Ruud van Nistelrooy is the latest manager to be linked with the Burnley hot seat and is now 6/1 to replace Kompany.
The former Manchester United striker had a couple of spells as assistant coach with the Netherlands before taking the reins at PSV in the 2022-23 campaign.
Van Nistelrooy led the club to a Dutch Cup triumph, but then quit his position over what he perceived as a lack of support from the club’s board amid a player revolt about his coaching style.
The Dutchman has been out of work since and may decide a fresh challenge in England is what he needs to kickstart his managerial career.

Cooper In Contention For Clarets Job
Steve Cooper remains one of the favourites for the Burnley job, and although it is no surprise to see the Welshman linked with the vacancy, his odds have plummeted in recent days.
Cooper worked wonders in the Championship with Nottingham Forest, then kept them in the Premier League in 2022/23.
He has a reputation for getting the best out of young players, while he may feel the time is right to get back into management.
Cooper has been out of work since being sacked by Forest before Christmas and his price has drifted from 2/1 to 8/1 following Bellamy’s emergence as a leading candidate.

Moyes To Swap Claret And Blue Clubs?
David Moyes said goodbye to West Ham at the end of the season, and there is a strong possibility his next job could be with another claret and blue club.
Moyes is used to managing in the top flight, so a drop into the Championship might not be something he is ready to entertain right now.
There is no doubting Moyes’ management that saw the Hammers win their first trophy in 43 years, when they beat Fiorentina 2-1 in the final of the Europa Conference League in Prague last June.
Moyes is in no rush to take another job and may prefer to sit back and wait for an opening in the Premier League, but he is 12/1 with football betting sites to end up at Burnley.

Rosenior And Robins Boast Championship Experience
Liam Rosenior and Mark Robins are regarded as two of the brightest managers in the English game, and both have experience of managing in the Championship.
Robins (20/1) will be in charge of Coventry’s fifth successive season in the Championship, with the aim of steering the Sky Blues to the Premier League.
Coventry finished six points and two places below Hull City, who sacked Liam Rosenior two days after they missed out on a place in the play-offs.
Rosenior (16/1) won’t be out of work for long and he might have a number of jobs offered to him in the coming months.
Other candidates for the Clarets role include Bodo/Glimt’s Kjetil Knutsen (16/1) and former Young Boys coach Raphael Wicky (20/1), who led the Swiss club to a domestic double in the 2022-23 campaign.
