Prince Harry took a secret trip to the United Kingdom to attend his uncle Lord Robert Fellowes’s funeral last month. And apparently, he stayed at Princess Diana’s childhood home, Althorp House.
According to People, the Duke of Sussex stayed with his uncle Charles Spencer at the ancestral home—a move that makes sense considering (a) Harry is close with Princess Diana’s side of the family, and (b) he was evicted from Frogmore Cottage, the estate he and Meghan Markle called home before they left England.
Both Prince Harry and Prince William attended Lord Robert Fellowes’s funeral, and, yes, it was indeed the first time they’d been in the same place at the same time for a minute. FYI, the Daily Mail reported that the brothers didn’t speak to one another, were “keeping their distance,” and “sat apart at the back of St. Mary’s Church after arriving very discreetly.”
Meanwhile, The Sun spoke to a local who said the following: “William and Harry were both there, but we never saw them speak to each other and they were keeping their distance.”
Oh, *and* People talked to one of the attendees who noted, “Most people were astounded that Harry came. He was on remarkably good form—and you could tell he was very pleased to see everybody. And he was very pleased that he had come over.”
TBD when Harry and William will “reunite” next, but apparently, they haven’t actually spoken to each other since Queen Elizabeth’s funeral all the way back on September 19, 2022.
