Andrew continued his fine recent form with a two from two haul on Friday (11-4 & 85-4) and has four picks on Saturday, September 21st…

CHESTER 2.30

CLAIM TO GLORY (system – Hugo Palmer geldings, first-time blinkers)

Since the beginning of 2016, Hugo Palmer is 11 from 50 with his geldings in first-time blinkers for a profit of £43.88 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 4.37, A/E = 2.51). The latest qualifier to run at Chester (Balon D’Or) was a winner at 11-2 on August 31st and I’m backing all-weather scorer CLAIM TO GLORY, nicely drawn in stall 4, to break his turf duck in this 7f handicap.

NEWMARKET 2.45

ROCKSTAR ICON (system – Paul & Oliver Cole, first-time blinkers)

The Cole yard has a solid record when using first-time blinkers, scoring with 17 of the 92 qualifiers since 2012 for a profit of £62.28 to a £1 level stake at SP. ROCKSTAR ICON took a step back in the right direction when fourth at Lingfield last time and could be worth chancing at a double-figure price (14-1 best at the time of writing).

NEWMARKET 3.20

EZRA CEE (system – Adrian Nicholls, stable switchers)

In the past five years Adrian Nicholls has a seven from 43 record at the first time of asking with horses he takes over from other yards and backing them blind would have returned a profit of £43.00 to a £1 level stake at SP. EZRA CEE has only had five runs but is on his third trainer, running third at 16-1 over 7f here on his debut for Peter Chapple-Hyam and scoring on his reappearance at Windsor in May on his debut for Kevin Philippart De Foy. Another change of scenery could perk him up and he’s worth chancing at a big price.

AYR 3.35

ROOM SERVICE (system – Kevin Ryan 3yos, first run after a wind operation)

Kevin Ryan has a 13 from 51 record with his three-year-olds on their first start after a wind operation and backing them blind would have returned a profit of £41.88 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 5.59, A/E = 2.32). ROOM SERVICE won well from off the pace at Pontefract last time – never easy to do – and could be worth chancing despite the ground being slower than preferred.
