The great thing about Spreadex is that offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences, of course, between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets.

Make the right call and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:

Andrew heads to the meetings at Tramore and Pontefract for his two recommended bets/trades on Sunday, August 18th…

TRAMORE 2.03

The Willie Mullins-trained IMMELMANN dominates the market for this maiden hurdle on his jumps debut, but he beat only one home on the Flat at Galway last time and he did bomb out at this venue when just 4-1 for a 1m4f handicap last September. At a much bigger price, I’m going to take a chance on another hurdle debutant – Terence O’Brien’s BRIGHT N SHINE. Like the favourite, the four-year-old also contested a handicap at the Galway Festival on his latest start, catching the eye in an 18-1 ninth of 18 in a 1m4f contest when stuck out wide in stall 18 (non-runner adjusted). The winner and runner-up came from stalls 1 and 2 and it was a solid effort in the circumstances. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back BRIGHT N SHINE in Tramore 2.03

PONTEFRACT 4.15

With the possibility of KALAMUNDA and AL MARAR taking each other on for the lead in this 1m handicap I want to take a chance on GEORGIE WOOSTER, likely to be played late by Jason Hart. Tim Easterby’s three-year-old twice caught the eye under tender handling in maiden/novice company, especially when a 100-1 eighth at Thirsk on his second start and it was surprising that the handicapper gave him a mark rather than insisting on a fourth run before allotting one. He duly scored on his handicap debut off 61 at Redcar in May (good to firm) and has had excuses on slower ground since. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or back him each-way in the fixed odds betting.

Recommendation: Back GEORGIE WOOSTER in Pontefract 4.15
