The Thomas Tuchel salary has been revealed after the 51-year-old was appointed as England’s new manager on an 18-month deal.
Tuchel will be the full-time replacement for Gareth Southgate. The former Three Lions defender managed the national side for eight years. Reaching two UEFA European Championship finals in the process.
Since then, U21 boss Lee Carsley was placed in charge on an interim basis. However, he will resume his role with the Young Lions after November’s UEFA Nations League fixtures conclude.
On January 1, Tuchel will officially begin his tenure and will be tasked with gaining qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The tournament will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

What Did Thomas Tuchel Earn At Chelsea?
English football fans will be more than acquainted with the national team’s new boss owing to his time at Chelsea. However, what was the Thomas Tuchel salary whilst he was in charge at Stamford Bridge?
Various reports put the figure at approximately £10 million per-year. That made Tuchel not only one of the highest-paid Premier League managers, but globally as well.
Tuchel was in charge of exactly 100 games for the west Londoners between January 2021 until September 2022. In that time, he oversaw victories in the UEFA Champions League final, the UEFA Super Cup as well as landing the FIFA Club World Cup.
The German gaffer narrowly missed out on winning the FA Cup. The Blues lost 1-0 to Leicester City at Wembley Stadium. Tuchel’s overall record from his century of games garnered 60 victories and just 16 defeats.

Thomas Tuchel Salary Is On Par With His Predecessor
Similar to Gareth Southgate, the Thomas Tuchel salary will see the new England manager pocket £5 million per-year from the FA. Therefore, half of what he banked whilst in charge of Chelsea.
In his most recent club role at Bayern Munich, it is understood Tuchel earned around £7.5 million per-year. Taking those last two club salaries into account, Tuchel is taking a pay cut to manage England.
However, he will earn a hefty bonus should he lead the Three Lions to FIFA World Cup glory in less than 24 months time. A huge incentive to pocket more money, of course.
At the time of writing, the best football betting sites in the UK make Tuchel’s England the 7/1 joint favourites to taste success in North America. Will Tuchel deliver? Only time will tell.
