British No.1 tennis star Jack Draper has reached the first major quarter-final of his career and is set to take on Australia’s Alex de Minaur in his next match today in the US Open quarter-finals.
Draper, seen by many as the heir to retired icon Andy Murray, has enjoyed a superb year on the ATP Tour, registering his maiden title in Stuttgart back in June.
The 22-year-old has been surging up the rankings – passing the likes of Cameron Norrie – and entered Flushing Meadows as the 25th seed in the men’s singles.

De Minaur is seeded 10th and is the boyfriend of British No.1 Katie Boulter.
De Minaur knocked out British star Dan Evans in the third round – but we do not yet know the exact time in which he will face Draper tomorrow (September 4).
