The Premier League 2023/24 campaign is nearly complete as we’re well and truly in the business end of the season.
Just three gameweeks are remaining and we still have a title to be decided, multiple European places to be confirmed and teams battling for survival at the bottom of the table.
At the top of the table, it looks as though Arsenal and Manchester City will take the title race to the season’s final game. Meanwhile, at the bottom, two of Burnley, Luton Town and Nottingham Forest will be going down to the Championship.
The Sporting News takes a look at when the final game of the season is, along with the updated Premier League table.

When does the Premier League season end?
- Date: May 18, 2024
- Time: 4 p.m. GMT | 11:00 a.m. ET
The last match of the Premier League season will take place on Gameweek 38 which will be played on May 18, 2024.
As it’s the last match week of the season, all teams will kick off at the same time.
The primary reason behind every match getting underway at 4 p.m. in the UK (11:00 a.m. ET) is to ensure fairness among teams. By synchronizing the start times, no team gains an advantage by playing before or after their competitors. If one team were to play at a later hour, they could potentially learn the outcome of other matches which could change their approach to the match.
This also intensifies the emotions during title races, relegation battles and contests for a European place as the results can change within moments.
