For the third time in history, Major League Baseball is heading across the pond. 

The Mets and Phillies will battle in MLB’s London Series on Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9. The NL East foes are set to play at London Stadium, the home of West Ham United of the English Premier League. 

In 2019, the Yankees and Red Sox kickstarted the inaugural London Series, playing in front of nearly 60,000 fans. Then, in 2023, the Cardinals and Cubs played in front of more than 54,000 spectators each night. 

Over two months into the 2024 season, the Phillies have asserted themselves as one of the best teams in all of baseball. Their success is spurred by stellar pitching, especially left-hander Ranger Suarez. Suarez, tabbed as Saturday’s starter, has a 1.70 ERA through 12 starts. 

It’s been an underwhelming season so far in Queens, as the Mets sit eight games under .500 and 16.5 games back of first place. But New York is showing signs of life on the heels of a three-game sweep in Washington; Francisco Lindor (.864 OPS in June) has helped spark the turnaround. 

The two teams have already played four times this year; the Phillies took three of the four games.

Where to watch Mets vs. Phillies London Series

Saturday’s opening game of the London Series will air exclusively on Fox in the U.S., with Sunday’s finale set to air on ESPN.

In the UK, both games will be broadcast on TNT Sports 2 and can be streamed via discovery+.

First pitch for the opening game of the 2024 MLB London Series is set for 1:10 p.m. ET on Saturday, June 8. 

You’ll have to set your alarms for Game 2, which is scheduled to begin at 10:10 a.m. ET on Sunday, June 9. 

Both games will be played at London Stadium in London, England. It is home to West Ham United of the English Premier League.
